Job Description

Position: Texture Artist

Start Date: ASAP

Department: Design

We are looking for an exceptionally skilled texture artist to join our team!

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Ability to texture in several specified styles
•Texture paint 3D characters, props, environments
•Ability to set up shaders/shader networks to achieve desired looks
•Review UV’s for texturing when needed
•Work with Modeling Team to ensure that textures are created to Art Directors Satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS

•Minimum 2 years experience in the CG Animation
•Must have a portfolio and DVD demo reel that demonstrates texture painting skills
•Excellent artistic, painting, and texturing skills
•Ability to create high quality texture maps, including all supporting maps (bump, specular, transparency, etc)
•In-depth understanding of color theory and application
•Understanding of UV layout and principles
•Understanding of the CG Pipeline
•UV unwrapping skills a plus, but are not required
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent organizational skills
•Ability to multitask effectively, prioritize competing demands, and follow through on details.
•Must be flexible enough to deal with changing role requirements.
•Ability to work as part of a team as well as be resourceful and self-driven
•Expert knowledge in Photoshop, Softimage XSI, Maya.
