Job Offers by Mail Service
There are three services provided to job seekers. First, they can build their resume online so that employers can find them. They can also subscribe to the Job Offers by Mail service. They will receive job offers right in their mailbox. Finally, they can browse the job offers posted by employers in the Job Center.
Unlike traditional job sites, the Job Center is built with the computer graphics industry in mind. First, resumes are enhanced with cg-specific features, e.g. the ability to specify cg skills, cg software, ... or build your online portfolio. Then, only job offers related to computer graphics (e.g. 3d artist, animator, ...) are posted.
Yes, the services provided to job seekers are 100% free.
Registration is the first step you need to accomplish in order to be able to set your job offers by mail preferences or build your resume.
Once registered, you can log in and start building your resume. The resume building system is divided into seven parts:
Once you are on the page 5: "Portfolio" of the resume system, click on the 'Browse...' button to select a file on your local computer. The file must be a jpeg image with the '.jpg' extension (lowercase) and under 200 KB in size. Then, add a comment (optional) to your image and click on the 'Add this image' button. Depending on the file size and your Internet connection speed, the uploading process will take from a few seconds to several minutes. As long as you do not see the confirmation page, do not hit the stop button of your browser.
Please, ensure the image you are trying to upload meets the requirements: it must be a valid jpeg file, with the '.jpg' file extension (lowercase) and under 200 KB in size.
In order to see you resume as employers will see it, edit your resume and go to page 7: "View resume online".
Edit your resume and go to page 6: "Resume Settings" and uncheck the 'display resume' option and save your change. This will hide your resume but keep all the data. If later, you want to make it available again, check the 'display resume' option and save.
The browse and search features are restricted to employers only. The access is restricted to prevent any abuse of the resumes database.
For instance, the normal visitor doesn't have access to the contact details to prevent spammers to try to gather e-mail addresses to build e-mail addresses lists.
The Job Offers by Mail service allows you to receive job offers right in your mailbox. To use it, simply go to the Job Offers by Mail Preferences page (registration is required) and set the job positions you are interested in.
On the Job Offers by Mail Preferences page, check the 'disable service' option and you will not receive job offers anymore. If later on, you want to start receiving them again, enable it again.
