curve editing problem

Hi everybody!
I just started learning maya but already encouterd a problem i cant face alone ;D

I added pictures to point out my problem more clear.

I try to make an birail 2 object by drawing first an EP curve from the top view, copy this curve on the y-axe, then curvesnapping 2 cv curves at both endings between the 2 EP curves.
But whenever i try to bend one of these curves by moving just 1 CV in the middle, the whole curve starts moving and bends just a little bit, thus making a birail impossible since the curves are no longer connected.

There is a very effective way to correct this problem with some save editing in Adobe Photoshop.
