"Papageno" from Mozart. The man who catches the birds. This is a 3D/2D illustration. I've been inspired by the old master painting and Caravaggio for the character. My main focus was to show the difference between classic and modern by showing a lot of differences. One 3D character is opposite 2D bees, There is Rococo style mixed with fantasy style... It took 1 month, with concept, and referencing. I've worked a lot between Maya and Zbrush, textured in Mudbox and pushing the illustration details in photoshop. I did the matte paint too.

hey alexis,

really well done. seems like you´ve planned the entire project pretty exactly. it shows a great variety of your skills. the idea of creation papageno itself is just awesome! that´s what makes your art unique and inspring for other artists. great job 5/5 stars ;)
