it must be awesome to bring to life what you can imagine great stuff
congratulations adrian, it's both inspiring as intriqueing.. I guess the biggest the problem you overcome was to match the sky naturalism and the contrast of the techno- birds.(?!) It's hard to blend those two...
Tip: make it a label etiquette for "the famous grouse'" a.d. 2099 :)
good luck with the rest of your work
This is a really fine piece of work. I notice that many of the comments in these rooms are just nuts...and/or show poor use of the English language. Any way you look at it, this is a sophisticated and superior piece of work, which belongs--for example--on the cover of an SF fiction book. Just a delight!

It seems a little too grainy around the edges of the bigger bird, but i still think it quite a good job. Congrats!
I showed this to a friend who insisted that it was a render that was repainted in a photo editor. I thought that it was just a really good/ tweaked render with some custom shaders. Can you Illuminate us on a bit of the process you used?
Either way, it's a great piece of work. Congrats.
This reminds me of Arthur C. Clarke's Rama book illustrations.. I don't remember where I saw those..
